This makes me think of an old local band called the Pelicans.
The Pelicans! Holy shit, if that’s not a blast from the past. I used to hang out with those fuckers in high school. I used make out with one of a them (Keith? Maybe?) and I remember that one of them was supposed to pawn his TV to get his brother out of jail, but used the money to buy beer instead.
I was a class act, clearly.
Yeah, I learned all sorts of weird and unsavory stuff from those folks. Didn’t make out with any of them though. I believe they’ve all gone respectable. Some have even started having kids as scary as that shit is. John the bassist works up your way as a printer. I believe he graduated from UNT as well.
